About Us

At The Rock Preschool, we focus on learning through play, which helps to nurture imagination and give a child a sense of adventure. This enables them to learn essential skills such as problem-solving, working with others, and sharing. Our carefully considered learning environments are crafted to ignite curiosity and imagination.

Curated programs for children aged 3 - 5 Years, our modern approach to childcare will feel cosy, inviting, safe and most importantly fun. Children will experience a sense of adventure as they develop new friendships and enjoy experiences that will enrich their lives.

We can’t wait to welcome you to The Rock Preschool.

The Rock Preschool Philosophy

We believe Children will develop lifelong skills through exploration and discovery of their environment and from the people around them. We aim to provide an environment which reflects appreciation for nature, culture, values and beliefs. We will aim to use nature items indoors and outdoors where possible to ensure the best possible discovery and exploration for the children. The National Quality Standard focuses on the physical environment and standard 3.3 ensures children are supported to become environmentally responsible and show respect for the environment (ACECQA. Quality Area 3)

We believe positive interactions with each individual will ensure the children have a positive relationship with the environment and staff at The Rock Preschool. A positive surrounding will ensure the child feels secure, safe while at the service. We believe displaying children’s art work and creations will ensure they feel a sense of belonging within the service. The Early Years Learning Framework ensures children feel safe and secure within the environment of the service.

We believe open communication and a strong positive relationship with families is the key to a happy service. The Rock Preschool invites parents and families to be involved in the service and to participate in events and decision making processes. We will respect these decisions and value all input into the service. Effective relationships between educators and families are fundamental to the quality of education and care that children receive (ACECQA, Quality Area 6. Introduction)

We believe in quality and positive working relationships within the service. We believe each staff member should be given the opportunity to express their feelings and decisions involving the service. Each staff member is valued within the service and each member should work towards common goals to ensure a positive relationship.

We believe confidentiality and professionalism should be valued and considered while working within the service. We believe respect is to be given to families and children of the service. Staff at the service are not to give information about a child or families to others outside the service.

At The Rock Preschool we will implement the National Quality Standard to its potential to ensure the quality of the service and the care and education for the children is high. The program for The Rock Preschool will reflect the Early Years Learning Framework.
